How to Change Your Email Address
Your email address is both your login identity and the address Strise sends reviews, documents, and notifications to. Whether you can change it yourself depends on how you log in.
Standard accounts
You change your login email yourself. Confirm the new address with a confirmation code:
- Go to Settings > Account.
- In the Personal info section, select Change email next to your current address.
- Enter the new address and select Send code.
- Strise emails a 6-digit code to the new address. Enter it and select Confirm.
Your login email only changes once you confirm the code. Until then, you keep logging in with your current address.
- If you last logged in more than 10 minutes ago, Strise asks you to log in again first. You come back to the page with the new address filled in.
- The code works for 10 minutes and only once. After 5 wrong attempts it stops working and you need a new one. You can send a new code after a minute, and up to 5 codes an hour.
- Once the change is done, your old address gets an email saying so. If you didn't make the change, contact support@strise.ai.
- To keep your current login email, select Cancel change while the code is pending.
The same section holds your display Name. Once the change is done, your login codes go to the new address. See How to Log In.
Single Sign-On accounts
If your organization uses Single Sign-On, your name and email address are owned by your identity provider, not by Strise. Both fields are shown but greyed out, with the explanation:
This field is managed by your organization's SSO provider and cannot be edited here.
To change your address, ask your IT department to change it in the identity provider. Strise supports SSO through Google, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, and generic OIDC providers.
If you are unsure which kind of account you have, open Settings > Account and look at the Email field: if it has a Change email button, you have a standard account; if it is greyed out, you are on SSO.
For how SSO is set up in the first place, see Single Sign-On.
If you need help, contact support@strise.ai.
