Ownership in Strise

Ownership gives you information on who (if any) the beneficial owners are, their voting power, and related share classes. Ownership is viewed in its own card, either through Strise Review or in the side panel.

Some companies have ownership relationships outside these categories. These are shown under "Other owners" which can be expanded to see additional detail.

Ownership chart

The Ownership chart displays owners with more than 5% ownership by default. The ownership threshold can be changed when clicking the "only show owners above 25%" toggle in the top right-hand side of the side panel.

Shares that don't add up to 100%

A company's direct shareholders should together own 100% of it. When they don't, the banner above the chart says so. Click Show on that row to outline the flagged companies, fade the rest of the chart, and add a row with a warning icon to each flagged box, for example Owners add up to 94.2%. The row looks the same whether the total is under or over 100%. Click it to see each direct owner and the share they hold.

The total adds up the percentages on the lines into the company, including the Other shareholders group. When shares are registered as ranges, the row shows a range, for example Owners add up to 50–95%.

Registers round each holding, so a small gap is expected. A company is only flagged when its owners hold more than 100.5%, or when they fall short of 100% by more than the chart's ownership threshold plus half a percentage point. The threshold is 5% by default and 25% when only show owners above 25% is on, so turning that toggle on can clear a shortfall.
