Portfolio Export

Portfolio export writes your team's portfolio to a CSV file, one row per company or private person, with the columns you pick. The file is generated in the background and kept in the export dialog's history, so anyone on the team who is allowed to read its contents can download it again later.

Company exports cover every company in the team's portfolio. Private person exports cover every private person in it. The filters and sorting on the portfolio page do not narrow the file.

Where to find it

  • Portfolio page: open the ⋯ menu in the portfolio header and click Download portfolio. The dialog opens with the columns you have on screen already selected. The private person portfolio has the same menu and exports private persons.
  • Portfolio Health: the Export button opens the same field picker. See Exporting portfolio data.

Generating an export

  1. Tick the fields you want, or All to select every field you are allowed to export.
  2. Click Generate report. The export joins a queue and appears in the history table below the picker as Pending.
  3. When the file is ready the row shows Download. The dialog checks for finished exports every few seconds while one is pending, so you can leave it open.

The history lists each export with its creation date and a name made of the team name, the export kind and the date.

Fields

Every field needs the portfolio's read permission: entities:read for a company export, private_persons:read for a private person export. The fields in the right-hand column also need the permission named there.

A field whose permission you lack stays visible in the picker but cannot be ticked. Hovering it names the missing permission. Strise refuses a request that names such a field outright; it never quietly leaves the column out.

Who can download an export

Everyone on the team who can read the portfolio sees the full export history, including exports made by colleagues. Downloading the file itself requires the same permissions that were needed to create it. An export with a Beneficial owners column can only be downloaded by team members who hold persons_sensitive_data:read, whoever generated it.

Permissions come from your roles on the team; see Roles & Permissions. The built-in roles hold every permission in the table, so this only matters when your organisation uses custom roles.

File format

  • Comma-separated, with every value in double quotes.
  • The first row holds the column identifiers. Columns come in a fixed order, whatever order you ticked them in.
  • A cell with several values (tags, assignees, roles, countries) separates them with a semicolon.
  • Beneficial owners lists each owner as name, date of birth, owners separated by semicolons.
  • Dates and timestamps use ISO 8601.
