Entity Timeline

Beta

Rolled out gradually to teams who ask for it. Reach out to your CSM to enable it.

Entity Timeline shows every change on an entity — ownership shifts, role changes, financial publications, screening updates, flags — in a single chronological view. It turns the question “what happened on this entity, and when?” from a multi-tab investigation into a single scroll.

Why It Exists

Reviews typically only capture the current state of an entity. But compliance decisions often need history: when did the beneficial owner change? When did sanctions exposure appear? How fast has the ownership chain evolved? Entity Timeline answers these without leaving the entity page.

What You See

Events on the timeline fall into five broad categories:

CategoryExamples
OwnershipShare transfers, new owners, ownership percentage changes
RolesNew board members, resigned directors, role title changes
ScreeningNew PEP hit, sanctions match added or removed, RCA status change
FinancialsAnnual reports published, large changes in revenue or employee count
FlagsAny flag the Knowledge Graph publishes on the entity

Each event is timestamped, attributed to a data source, and linked to the related evidence (the screening hit card, the financial statement, the flag context).

Filtering

The timeline is filterable by:

  • Date range.
  • Event category (any combination of the five above).
  • Severity (for flag events that carry a severity score).

Entity Changelog vs. Entity Timeline

Two closely related features exist:

  • Entity Timeline (this page) — Customer-facing, surfaced on the entity page. Events are pulled from the Knowledge Graph and screening pipelines.
  • Entity Change Log — Strise-internal only. Records low-level record-keeping changes.

Permissions

Entity Timeline is visible to all users on the team. There’s no per-user gating — if the team has the feature enabled, everyone sees it.
