Registry Check
Opt-in module. Available for Norwegian entities first; additional jurisdictions are being evaluated.
Registry Check lets your team record the outcome of formal registry verifications against the entities in your portfolio. It gives auditors and compliance reviewers a single place to confirm that an entity’s claimed registration, ownership, or role data matches what the official registry says — and to keep a trail of who checked, when, and what they found.
What It Captures
For each registry check, the reviewer records:
- Check kind. Which registry was consulted (e.g. national business register, beneficial ownership register).
- Outcome. Verified / Discrepancy / Inconclusive.
- Notes. Free-text observations — typically used to note what differed between Strise’s data and the registry.
- Timestamp and user. Automatically populated.
A registry check is attached to the entity and appears in the review flow’s Registers section.
When to Use It
- Initial onboarding. When onboarding a new customer, a registry check documents that your team verified the registration details against the official source at time of onboarding.
- Periodic reviews. On re-review, a fresh registry check records that you confirmed the data is still current.
- Discrepancy resolution. When you spot a mismatch between Strise and the official registry, a registry check with outcome “Discrepancy” records what you found and how you resolved it.
Relationship to the Knowledge Graph
Registry Check is about your team’s verification, not about the underlying data. Strise still pulls registry data automatically into the Knowledge Graph; Registry Check is the record of a human having looked at that data and confirmed or disputed it against the primary source. If you want the data itself to change, use Editing Entities.
Setup
Talk to your CSM to enable Registry Check for your team. Enable the Registers section in your review settings so the check appears as a review step.
