Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Strise get UBO data for Swedish companies?

Strise sources UBO data for Swedish companies from Valu8. Swedish UBOs are determined based on the greater than 25% ownership rule. Certain entity types may be exempt from UBO requirements based on Swedish regulations.

Which countries are on the FATF/EU high-risk list?

Strise maintains an up-to-date list of FATF and EU high-risk third countries. These lists are used for country risk assessments in reviews and monitoring. The lists are updated whenever FATF or the EU publishes revisions.

Where does Strise get its news sources?

Strise’s Adverse Media Screening (AMS) processes approximately 3 million articles daily from Opoint, a global media monitoring provider covering thousands of sources across multiple languages and geographies.

What are Global Entities?

Global Entities in Strise are powered by Sayari, providing coverage of companies and individuals outside the Nordic region. This enables screening and due diligence for international entities.

Will companies know they are being screened?

No. Strise does not notify companies when they are screened or reviewed. The only exception is E-innsyn (Norway), where public access requests are logged. Standard Strise screening does not trigger any notification to the entity being reviewed.

What is collateral on property (Kartverket)?

Strise integrates property data from Kartverket (the Norwegian Mapping Authority). This includes property information, registered liens, and encumbrances. Lien types include mortgages, security interests, and other registered claims on property. The Grow module supports filtering companies based on property-related criteria.

Why do my financials look different from the company’s annual report?

Strise may display consolidated numbers by default, which aggregate financials across subsidiaries. If you are seeing different numbers than expected, check the consolidated numbers toggle to switch between consolidated and standalone figures.
