Email Settings

Strise sends emails for two broad purposes: documents (reviews and ordered documents that are emailed out) and notifications (monitoring alerts and activity in your portfolio). The settings that control these emails live in three separate places in the application:

  • Team Settings — where copies of document emails are sent, for the whole team.
  • Monitoring Settings — whether each monitoring alert type is delivered by email, and to whom.
  • Notifications — your personal choice of which notifications you receive by email.

The first two are team-level settings configured by a team manager and apply to everyone on the team. The Notifications page is a personal setting — every user controls their own email preferences there.

Team email forwarding

Found on the Team Settings page. Configurable by team managers.

Team emails

A list of email addresses that receive a copy of every email containing a document (for example a completed review or an ordered registry document). Use this to forward documents to a shared mailbox, an archive address, or a CRM intake address. You can add multiple addresses.

When the list is empty, documents are only sent to the relevant individual users and nothing is forwarded.

Send documents to team emails only

A checkbox that changes who receives document emails:

StateBehavior
Unchecked (default)Documents are sent to the relevant individual user and copied to every team email address.
CheckedDocuments are sent only to the configured team email addresses — individual users do not receive them directly.

This checkbox is only available when at least one team email address has been added. If all team emails are removed, the option is automatically turned off.

Monitoring alert emails

Found on the Monitoring Settings page, configured separately for each alert type — PEP, Sanctions, and Relations. Configurable by team managers. Alerts always appear in the Monitoring view; these settings only control the email delivery on top of that.

Alerts over email

A master on/off switch for email delivery of that alert type. When off, the alert type still appears in the monitoring view but no emails are sent. When on, the recipient options below become available.

Recipient (who gets the email)

When Alerts over email is on, choose who receives the emails:

OptionBehavior
Send emails to all usersEvery member of the team receives an email for each new alert of this type.
Send emails only to assigneesOnly users assigned to the affected entity receive the email. Useful for teams that divide portfolios between members.

These two options are mutually exclusive, and are configured independently for PEP, Sanctions, and Relations — for example, you can email all users about sanctions alerts while emailing only assignees about relation alerts.

Personal email preferences

Found on the Notifications page under the Email preferences section. Unlike the settings above, these are personal — each user controls their own, and they do not affect anyone else on the team. They sit alongside In-app notification preferences (which control your notification feed) and Entity-specific notifications (per-company subscriptions).

Each item is a toggle that decides whether you receive that kind of notification by email. Some items only appear when your team has the relevant feature enabled.

How these settings work together

A document or notification email is shaped by all three layers:

  1. Is email enabled for this kind of message? For monitoring alerts this is the Alerts over email switch; for personal notifications it is the matching Email preferences toggle.
  2. Who is the recipient? For monitoring alerts, the Send to all users / only to assignees choice. For documents, the relevant user plus any team emails.
  3. Should it also be forwarded? Team emails receive copies of document emails, and Send documents to team emails only can redirect them entirely.
